JACKSONVILLE, Fla — It’s bike week in St. Augustine and for motorcyclists it’s time to hit the road and make some “vroom” for outdoor fun on Florida’s historic coast.
The city of St. Augustine is expecting increased motorcycle traffic this weekend. That’s why city officials have designated parking just for those riding.

Brothers Allen and Wain Goad came all the way from California and Arkansas for the end of bike week 2023
“It was a short overnight flight, 4 to 5.5 hours, into Orlando and my brother drove and met me with the bikes,” says Allen Goad.
“Jonesboro, Arkansas, it was a 13-hour trip,” says Wain Goad.
It’s a weekend when tens of thousands of bikers like the Goads make their way to St. Augustine Beach and then down to Daytona Beach. During their trip here, they’ll be able to enjoy a series of events including live music, food and of course bike displays and bike parades.

“I’ve been to bike week twice now and being on a bike, there’s nothing else like it. It’s just you and real time experiencing the world as it happens,” says Wain Goad.
But with so much to see and do the city of St. Augustine wants to make sure riders and vehicle drivers have a place to park. That’s why they will have designated parking spaces for you along Cathedral Place between Charlotte Street and St. George Street from now until this Sunday.
However, on Saturday parking won’t be available because of the St. Patrick’s Day parade.
