Action News Jax Anchor Tenikka Hughes taking time off to address health issues that require surgery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Starting Friday, April 8, Action News Jax Anchor Tenikka Hughes will be taking a few weeks off to address health issues that require surgery.

Tenikka announced the news on Action News Jax at 10 p.m. on Wednesday. She said she will be fine, but she will need the time off to rest and recuperate.

“I wanted to let you guys know because you’re so awesome that you call, and you send messages to check on me when I’m away on vacation for a few days, so I just wanted to let you know why I will be away and I will be back as soon as I’m able,” Tenikka told Action News Jax viewers.
