A person was shot and taken to a local hospital Sunday after police in Jacksonville received a call involving a shooting at 7:20 p.m.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the shooting took place outside in the 3100 block of Boulevard Street.
A person was detained at the scene, but JSO is not releasing any information at this regarding the person.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to an individual shot near the intersection of W 21st and Boulevard Street.
The person was transported to the hospital, according to JSO.
