American Red Cross Responds to Early Morning Fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The American Red Cross responded to an overnight house fire on University Blvd on Sunday, January 19.

Volunteers responded to a multi-unit fire on the 2600 block of University Blvd North early in the morning. Three families were displaced.

The families received financial assistance for emergency needs, including food, clothing, and temporary lodging.

This fire was one of four that JSO and JFRD responded to overnight. Action News Jax told you about a house fire on Canal Street where a child had died. A storage shed had caught on fire on the 1500 block of Faye Road, as well as another residential fire on the 2300 block of Longmont Lane.
