JEA said in a news release that the break was “caused by a third-party telecommunications contractor.” It caused water outages for about 75 customers on the following streets:

  • Willoughby Lane
  • Willoughby Court
  • Friargate Court
  • Eaglesham Drive (west of Trowbridge Drive)
  • Hickory Manor Drive (south of Hickory Creek Boulevard)

Crews from JEA are working to replace 20 feet of damaged pipe. Water service should be restored by 5 p.m. and will not result in a boil water advisory, JEA said.
