Argument leads to double shooting in Westside Jacksonville home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two men were shot Sunday night inside of a home in Normandy Manor on Jacksonville’s Westside. Police were called to a home there just before 11 p.m. in reference to a person shot. When officers arrived, they found two males in their late 30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office news release states.

The men were rushed to the hospital with one of them suffering from life-threatening injuries, police said. Investigators said they learned that the men were in a home with two other people - the shooter and a witness.

An argument took place between one of the victims and the suspect. “The argument progressed into a fight and during the fight the suspect shot both victims. The suspect fled the area on foot,” the news release states.

No arrests were made.
