A warrant was issued Thursday for the arrest of former Latitude 360 CEO Brent Brown.
Action News Jax has been investigating Brown’s shady business dealings for nearly two years.
Now Brown faces 34 charges in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Officials with the District Attorney’s Office there confirm the charges are related to not paying employees at Latitude 360’s Pittsburgh location.
A court docket filed Thursday shows Brown faces one felony, a “theft of services” charge, and 33 “bad checks” charges.
Months after Latitude 360’s Jacksonville flagship and Indianapolis location unexpectedly shut their doors, the Pittsburgh restaurant and entertainment venue shut down, too.

Latitude 360 employees in both Pittsburgh and Jacksonville reached out to Action News Jax, saying their checks frequently bounced.
Many say they still haven’t been paid for their final weeks of work.
"I'm so angry right now. I could say a lot of stuff to them. He deserves to be put in jail. And he needs to pay all of us," former Jacksonville Latitude 360 cook Jeff Land said on Jan. 20, 2016.
A year ago, then-State Attorney Angela Corey said she expected arrests in her office’s Latitude 360 investigation by the end of the year.
"You know, I hate to use such a cliché, but it's like peeling back an onion. It's been one layer at a time," Corey said on Aug. 12, 2016.
More than a year later, these new Allegheny County charges are still the only criminal charges Brown faces.
That’s despite Brown owing millions in unpaid taxes and unpaid court judgments against him.
"This is not appropriate," Brown said on May 11, 2016, after Action News Jax asked him when he planned to pay his employees. "Not appropriate whatsoever."
Action News Jax left voicemails for Brown and texted him on Thursday, asking for his side of the story and whether he plans to turn himself over to police.
He has not responded.
Neither has our local state attorney’s office after Action News Jax asked whether we can expect local charges.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has not responded to Action News Jax’s questions about whether the agency is assisting Allegheny County in Brown’s arrest.
