Atlantic Beach park and pay program; what residents need to know

There will be 42 parking spaces at the 18th street beach access parking lot and 15 spaces at 19th street

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — Coming soon to Atlantic Beach will be paid parking at the 18th and 19th Street beach access.

The park and pay program will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from March 1 through Sept. 30.

You will have to enter your license plate ID and pay through a kiosk or by using the Flowbird parking app. The app is available to download from Apple or the Google Play Store.

Rates will be $1 every 30 minutes with a $12 maximum.

There is no back-in parking and no parking after 9 p.m.

The City of Atlantic Beach has one resident registration program that is valid in two locations: The Beaches Town Center, and Beach Access Parking at 18th and 19th streets.

Current Atlantic Beach residents must register their license plate(s) and be approved to qualify for resident parking.

There is a form to apply at the bottom of: https://www.northbeachesparking.com/atlantic. Once approved, residents can park in the designated zones and receive three hours of parking at no cost.

If residents would like to extend their stay beyond the three hours, they can pay via the mobile app or at the kiosk.

Residents and guests must park nose-in so that their plate is visible from the rear.
