Boater, Coast Guard rescue 4 fishermen after boat sinks in St. Johns River Inlet

Four fishermen were rescued after their boat sank near the Mayport Jetties on Sunday.

U.S. Coast Guard officials said the fishermen's 15-foot boat sank near the St. Johns River inlet at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Three of the fishermen swam to the nearby jetty and the fourth was picked up by another boater.

The Coast Guard sent a 45-foot response boat and got to the area in five minutes.

Crews rescued the fishermen from the rocks and they were taken to the Mayport Boat Ramp.

They are reportedly in good condition.
