A man has been arrested in the October death of his girlfriend, Tynikka Tanner, 21.
In October, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office went to the 500 block of Cleveland Road after receiving a call about gunshots. According to the report, Dontonieo Sapp-Denson, 24, answered the door. Sapp-Denson told deputies that the shooting occurred inside the residence and that the victim had ctaken her own life by shooting herself in the head.

Officers said upon entering, they found Tanner deceased. At the time, JSO said her death appeared to have been caused by a gunshot wound.
The homicide unit was contacted.
It appeared that Tanner's death was a homicide and not a suicide, according to the report.
According to JSO, the evidence gathered during investigation investigators conclude that Tanner was murdered by Sapp-Denson her boyfriend and the father of her child.
JSO said Sapp-Denson has been arrested and charged second-degree murder and evidence tampering.
