ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A plane crash was reported at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport in St. Augustine, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office.
There were two people on board at the time of the crash, and both sustained minor injuries, according to SJSO. The pilot has been identified as Robert Jack Link, 76, and the passenger as Virginia Sterchi Douglas.
Both were taken to Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Link's Cessna 337G plane was attempting to take off heading north from the airport when the landing gear malfunctioned. The plan began to veer left and descended.
The plane crash-landed on the runway and continued to travel on the grassy area where it came to a rest.
