Jacksonville, FL — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue are investigating a deadly fire that broke out overnight in Miramar, killing one woman.
Officers patrolling along Hendricks Avenue say they smelled smoke, finding the house fire on Pinewood Avenue.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after JFRD battled the flames. They also found and rescued a cat, which was taken to a vet for treatment.
According to JSO, this is being investigated as a tragic accident, with the cause of the fire still unknown.
