ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A massive gas station is set to begin construction soon in St. Johns County.
Plans for the Buc-ee's off Interstate 95 near World Golf Village include a 53,000-square-foot convenience store with 104 gas pumps.
In October 2017, Action News Jax told you about a petition against the convenience store signed by hundreds living across the road in World Golf Village.
“A lot of people who live here, they’re here for the seclusion, not for the exposure,” St.Johns County resident Frank Small said.

A Buc-ee's representative said Tuesday they're finalizing plans and preparing for construction between April and June. Construction was originally expected to begin in 2018.
The county’s planning and zoning department said it is reviewing Buc-ee’s construction plan, but their master development plan is already approved.
Some local families said the plans for the gas station are too big, while others welcome the business.
