The Clay County Sheriff's Office announced Monday afternoon that complaints about Halloween candy that was tampered with were false.
CCSO received several complaints about candy that had been tampered with after advising the community, and investigated those claims.
During the investigation, CCSO said they learned that all three allegations were false.

CCSO says they are working with the State Attorney's Office regarding charges for those who falsified these allegations due to the impact on the community.
