Car lovers gear up for The Amelia

Amelia Island, Fla. — For the 28th year, The Amelia is back. It’s one of the biggest car shows in the country.

Two major highlights from the four-day event include an auction happening Saturday and an awards ceremony Sunday.

This year, the honoree is NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon.

Fans can see the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo he drove in Daytona before it goes up for sale.

The event is set up near the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island.
