A woman in her 20s was taken to the hospital after her car was pinned underneath a Public semi-truck Sunday after a crash on I-295 in Jacksonville.
The Florida Highway Patrol went to I-295 near the Morse Avenue exit about 1 p.m.
FHP Sgt. Dylan Bryan said the accident was a non-contact hit and run. He said the woman lost control of her car when she tried to avoid another vehicle that had cut her off. Bryan said that's when she hit the semi-truck.
FHP officials said the driver was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons. There are no reported injuries.
The northbound inside and center lanes were closed while the car was unpinned.
