ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Alleged thieves accused of stealing from the St. Augustine Outlets led Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a chase through St. Johns and Duval counties on Interstate 95 on Monday afternoon.

FHP said three people were caught by Troop G stealing from the Ralph Lauren store.

Troopers pursued a Jeep Compass on I-95 north into Jacksonville and was able to stop the vehicle by using a PIT (pursuit intervention technique) maneuver.

FHP said it recovered over $2,000 of stolen merchandise and there is no longer a hazard to the public.
