The woman accused of kicking the cat, Kate Murphy, is charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, and cruelty to animals, according to an arrest report from the Ware County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened on Saturday and Murphy was arrested Sunday.

The cat’s owner, Christian Lee, wants justice. Lee said it was all for nothing.

“I know she kept screaming belligerently that my dogs were in her yard. When she came towards us I gathered my children and my dogs up onto the porch to try to get them into the house,” Lee said.

Lee said she was shocked when she saw her neighbor kick her kitten and she caught it all on video.

The video shows the neighbor kicking 6-month-old boy kitten Ti-Ti, and the kitten flying in the air after the impact.

Lee rescues animals and helps them get adopted and said she has 16 dogs and 10 cats.

“She’s not even a close neighbor and she came into our yard, with me my children and all of my animals and that’s how she chose to express her anger,” Lee said.

Lee said she doesn’t know why her neighbor did this.

“We were screamed at, yelled at. I screamed back at her to leave, and she just got so angry. She took it out on our kitten,” Lee said.

Lee says Ti-Ti has now found a new home and has bruises with no internal damage due to the kick.

“It’s a crime, and it’s wrong, and it shouldn’t be done by anyone. I’m happy that in my county the officials have taken it seriously and she is having charges pressed against her,” Lee said.

We did knock on Murphy’s door to get her side of the story, but she didn’t answer.
