ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A pet store in Orange Park says two pricey puppies have been stolen.

BFF Puppies in the Orange Park Mall said the American Bully puppies are worth $2,600 apiece.

Alex Nichols, the store manager, said a man and woman came into the store Jan. 5 with their eyes set on the two male puppies.

She said they filled out the paperwork and purchased the dogs using a card.

Nearly three weeks later, the pet store said it got a call from the credit card company disputing the payment, and said it was fraudulent.

“We’re very upset about it,” Nichols said.

Nichols said they’re mostly worried about who the dogs are with.

“Our biggest thing is these puppies are in a position where they are probably not getting vet care or vaccines like they’re needing to, so we’re just doing everything we can to do to try to get these puppies back,” Nichols said.

The pet store filed a report with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

CCSO said it’s an active case.

The dogs are both microchipped.
