ORANGE PARK, Fla. — What started as an out-of-county warrant arrest turned into six new felony charges for one Middleburg woman.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said they found multiple bags of narcotics inside a woman’s body cavity while conducting a routine body scan inside the jailhouse.

Deputies were using a scanner like the ones airport security uses when the drugs were revealed.

She was holding 4.9 grams of methamphetamine, 3.5 grams of fentanyl, and 0.9 grams of cocaine, CCSO said.

She was also holding Suboxone, a drug used for patients addicted to opioids, and 32 small, empty plastic baggies.

According to CCSO, she is now facing six new felony charges.
