CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — UPDATE, 11/17/2020, 5:30 p.m.: A source confirms to Action News Jax that Shawn Braddy, who was suspected in Tiara McDaniel’s killing, was shot and killed by police in Maryland on Tuesday afternoon.

A search is underway for a man the Clay County Sheriff’s Office says they believe was involved in a deadly shooting Monday morning.
It happened a new housing development in Oakleaf on Grayson Lane.
A close family member confirmed to Action News Jax that 33-year-old Tiara McDaniel was the victim killed in her own home.
Family said McDaniel was holding her 5-year-old when she was shot.

Deputies said they are looking for Shawn Lequin Braddy in connection to the shooting, who is considered armed and dangerous.
McDaniel’s family member said she moved to get away from Braddy, the father of two of her children.
Family said Braddy got into the home from the back and should have not even known where McDaniel was living.
No restraining orders were officially filed by McDaniel, but family said they had an abusive relationship and she was trying to get a restraining order against him.
