Juvenile arrested after shooting BB gun at two Clay County school buses, police say

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a juvenile on two charges of shooting into an occupied vehicle. The juvenile had shot a BB gun at two Clay County District Schools buses in Middleburg.

The incident happened on Tuesday near Henley Road and Talisman Drive as the school buses were on the way to pick up students for school. There were no reported injuries.

Officers immediately began investigating and found the juvenile to be a person of interest. The juvenile was questioned with parent supervision and subsequently arrested. The parent was also cooperative.

The juvenile’s identity has not been disclosed due to the arrestee’s age.

“We appreciate the coordinated efforts with Clay County District Schools to bring this investigation to a close, and we continue to be grateful no one was injured in this situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
