CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A man was killed Friday morning after he was hit by a pickup truck in Keystone Heights, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened just after 5 a.m. on County Road 315C near Indian Trail Road, FHP said.
The pickup truck was traveling northbound on County Road 315C and the man, a 25-year-old from Keystone Heights, was walking in the road in front of the pickup truck’s path.
The front left of the truck struck the man, FHP said.
The pickup truck driver, a 46-year-old man from Keystone Heights, was not injured.
Another man was also struck and killed by a vehicle on New Year’s morning in Northeast Florida. A 25-year-old man was struck and killed by an SUV in Lake City.
