Deputies receive reports of suspicious man knocking on doors in Columbia County

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said Friday it has received reports of a suspicious man knocking on the door of homes in the community.

The Sheriff’s Office the man goes by the name of Cody and has been knocking on doors, saying he would like to talk about crime prevention. He then asks if he can come into their house.

"He may be trying to sell you something, but we would like to talk with him and verify his intentions, " the Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.
