The community is coming together to support five children in Yulee who lost their mother in a motorcycle crash Sunday.

Shannon Bollinger, 29, was killed on State Road 200 near Gressman Dairy Road around 1:10 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Bollinger was on a motorcycle being driven by her husband, Curtis, when he lost control of the vehicle.

Troopers said Bollinger landed in the middle of the road and was run over by a vehicle shortly after.
Family members said Bollinger was a loving and dedicated mother.
They said she enjoyed volunteering and was involved with her children's sports activities.

Yulee Little League, where Bollinger’s children play baseball, is asking for donations for the family.
It said it is accepting nonperishable food and toiletries.

Donations can be dropped off at the complex between 5 and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday or on Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Family members also created a VyStar Credit Union account to which monetary donations can be made to help the children. The account number is 7507279975.
