PALATKA, Fla. — Toilet paper is hard to come by nowadays amid the coronavirus pandemic.

  • You may not know, but one of the nation’s largest toilet paper suppliers is in our own backyard. Georgia-Pacific has a paper facility in Palatka where 1,000 employees are dedicated to keeping the shelves stocked at retail stores.
  • Georgia-Pacific sells Angel Soft and Quilted Northern toilet paper products in retail and commercial markets in North America. The manufacturer said it’s expediting product that optimizes their existing inventory, increasing production and utilizing a managed distribution process to smartly manage through this unusual period.
  • Georgia-Pacific said it has seen a significant increase in orders. These increases have been as high as two times their normal demand.
  • The Palatka facility is open 24/7. Georgia Pacific said employees are doing all they can to serve customers and meet consumers’ needs during this situation.
