JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Florida broke the 500,000 mark in the number of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in March.
The Florida Department of Health reported 5,408 new cases and 225 deaths in today’s report.
Locally, northeast Florida added 269 cases.
Duval County added 181 cases and reported two new deaths. Duval County’s positive testing rate for the past two weeks is at 7.9 percent.
St. Johns County added 28 new cases and reported one new death.
Baker County added 6 new cases, Clay County added 37 cases, and Nassau County added 17 new cases.
