JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has decided to extend the mask mandate for another 30 days as part of the city’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new expiration date is Monday, Jan. 25 at 5 p.m.

The first 30-day mask mandate was issued June 29 and has now been extended six times -- July 29, August 28, Sept. 27, Oct. 27, Nov. 26 and Dec. 26.
The executive order remains the same in that every person over the age of 6 who is in an indoor public space must wear a face covering when unable to social distance.
