JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has died after being shot Monday night at the Woodhollow Apartments on Hodges Boulevard near Atlantic Boulevard, according to police.

Several people called 911 around 11 p.m. about a shooting at the complex. When officers arrived, they found a man, who had been shot multiple times, lying in the parking lot near building 16, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

He was taken to Memorial Hospital by first responders where he died. Action News Jax is working to learn his identity and what may have led to the shooting.
Police are looking for a car seen by witnesses speeding away from the area.
It is described as a silver 4-door car.
