Design plans for Jacksonville Landing released

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The first drawings from a new plan to re-invent the Jacksonville Landing were released Saturday.

The family that owns the Landing is showing off big plans.

It includes a four-fold increase in the size of the public access area along the river for festivals and events.

There are also plans for upscale apartments for about 500 people with rooftop pools.

Taking these drawings and turning them into reality will require money from the city.

The Sleiman family that owns the Landing is asking for an $11.8 million initial public investment.
