JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded Saturday morning to an apartment fire that displaced 15 people on Jacksonville’s Northside.

According to a spokesperson for JFRD, eight units were affected by the fire, resulting in 15 people being displaced. No one was injured, but the Red Cross has been called to assist the displaced individuals.
JFRD said there is heavy fire and smoke damage to the apartment where the fire originated and to the units closest to it. There is also water damage in some apartments.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, but the State Fire Marshal is investigating.
