JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Action News Jax received a tip regarding vandalism to the Duval County Public School Headquarters building.
Action News Jax reporter Meghan Moriarty got there at 4 a.m. Monday and discovered a window that appeared to be shattered and boarded up, as well as a boarded up door.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has no reports of this incident. A spokesperson with DCPS said their police officers are investigating.
Moriarty went to the district building in public, called and emailed. When Moriarty asked a spokesperson [over the phone] when this happened, she could not give an exact timeframe, but when she put in a public records request for the incident report, the district referred to the incident as “the broken glass at the District Admin Building on Jan. 25.”
#NEW: We received a tip about damage done to DCPS headquarters and rolled up to this around 4 AM. It’s hard to see in photo 3, but that’s glass in the mulch.
