JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that at a Family Dollar on Normandy Boulevard a mother’s car was stolen with two kids inside from the store’s parking lot Saturday afternoon.
The woman left her kids in the car while she went into the store. Their ages are 5, 2, and 10 months old.
The clerk said three men jumped into the car while the kids were inside and the oldest child jumped out, getting a few bruises in the process. The boy ran inside to tell his mother and the men drove off with the 2-year-old and 10-month-old still in the car.
Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office found the car a short while later, according to the manager. Both children were still inside the car, safe.
JSO is still searching for the three suspects.
