JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — A 21-year-old man is dead after a crash late Monday night in Jacksonville Beach, according to the police department.
Police have not released his name but said he was the driver of the red Ford Focus.
The car was involved in a crash with a white Ford F150 around 11:29 p.m. in the 1100 block 3rd Street North.

3rd Street North was shut down between 10th Avenue and 13th Avenue North for nearly eight hours as crews investigated. The area reopened around 8 a.m.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said speeding played a factor in the crash, but the crash in still under investigation.
The 28-year-old driver of the truck was taken to the hospital and he is expected to survive.
Action News Jax was at the crash site Tuesday morning before the car and truck was towed away. They were both were badly mangled.
Two light poles were damaged by the crash, but there were no power outages, according to police.
