Death investigation underway after man found dead on side of road in Cedar Hills

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man was found dead on the side of Harlow Boulevard.

According to detectives, JSO was called out to the location around 11:20 p.m. and found an unresponsive man in his 60s. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Homicide and crime scene detectives are at the scene conducting their investigations. Foul play is not ruled out, but JSO is awaiting autopsy results to know for sure.

Detectives believe the victim was part of a nearby homeless community.
