JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 22-year-old disabled woman got a special birthday surprise.
The family of Karen Benitez says her modified bicycle was stolen from their Jacksonville Beach home back in June.
Karen’s family reached out to Action News Jax after seeing our report about a similar modified bike being stolen from a disabled teen in San Pablo last month.

A GoFundMe was created to try to raise money to replace Karen’s bike when the family says a donor stepped up to replace it just in time for Karen’s recent birthday. Her family says they are grateful for the gift.
Karen’s family filed a police report when the bike was stolen this summer, but tells Action News Jax no arrests have been made.
