JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Edward Waters College is easing the financial burden for students returning back to campus this fall.
Students at Edward Waters College who have an outstanding balance on their account will be able to start the school year off debt-free
President A. Zachary Faison made the announcement on Facebook Friday afternoon.
“My office has been inundated with stories of students, parents, grandparents, significant others who have lost their unemployment,” said Faison.
To help Faison told Action News Jax the school created a new initiative called #WEGOTYOU to help more than 700 returning students pay balances left on their accounts.
“I don’t know if any other college or university is doing what I’m getting ready to share and that is that for this academic year I have a little over 700 students that are eligible to return who were enrolled at our institution this spring, for every single student that wants to come back to Edward Waters College we will pay the balance of your Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester charges,” Faison explained.
