Original Story 12/22/2020: Organizers of Deck the Chairs, an annual holiday exhibit that showcases lights, music and decorated lifeguard chairs in Jacksonville Beach, say they are working to replace equipment and the music program that they believe was stolen late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.
The equipment is used to operate the exhibit’s music and light show. “Currently the park and all the displays are completely lit, but there is no music and the decorated chairs in the Pavilion will remain static. This is unfortunate but we are determined to make it a temporary hiccup,” event organizers wrote in a social media post.
Their technical team is working to having the equipment replaced by Tuesday evening.
