Jacksonville police: Hit-and-run crash leaves one dead in middle of roadway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported crash with injuries Sunday night at the 6000 block of Cleveland Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased pedestrian in the middle of Cleveland Road.

The Traffic and Homicide Unit is investigating and all lanes on Cleveland Road are blocked from Edgewood Avenue West to Carroll Drive.
