JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office K9 deputies assisted law enforcement after Patrick McDowell fatally shot Deputy Joshua Moyers during a traffic stop Friday, Sept. 24.
McDowell shot K9 Chaos with a rifle as he escaped capture Friday, investigators say. Thankfully, Chaos is expected to be OK.
After five days of hiding, McDowell was finally taken down by K9 Deputy Huk, who is Chaos’ brother. Huk played a significant role in McDowell’s capture as officials say they released him on the suspect after McDowell refused to cooperate with the police.

The two handlers have been blown away by the outpouring of support they have received, and have asked that any donations, toys, treats, supplies, etc. go through K9s United.
K9s United will make sure the donations will help provide the good boys with treats, toys, and all kinds of goodies after their outstanding work.

Ok, technically Chaos isn’t a member since we don’t take dues in dog biscuits…BUT he, and the rest of our K9s are definitely family.
