Jacksonville fire rescue responds to boat crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a boat crash Friday evening.

JFRD extracted the patient from the boat and is in route to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to JFRD, many boaters are stuck on the west side of the Ortega bridge and are unable to get into the St. Johns River, the bridge will not be functioning until it can be inspected for safety repair.
