JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Firefighters with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department believe a mobile home is not salvageable following a fire Friday morning.
JFRD crews arrived to the home on Chenango Boulevard just before 6:30 a.m. to put out a fire.
Authorities said one man was inside the home at the time of the fire. JFRD said the fire started when the man fell asleep with a cigarette in his mouth.
He was not hurt.
The fire chief told Action News Jax that four adults live inside the home.
The Red Cross has been requested to assist them.
