JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — APRIL 7 UPDATE: 5-year-old Kearria Addison has died after being shot in the head in a dispute-related crossfire, according to Mayor Lenny Curry.
The deadly incident happened outside of a convenience store in the 10300 block of Monaco Drive on Jacksonville’s Northside Monday.

Curry mentioned the “unbelievable” violent incident Tuesday morning during a video-conference regarding COVID-19. Curry stated the girl’s 4-year-old sister was also hurt in the shooting and is expected to be OK.
Action News Jax’s Meghan Moriarty spoke with a family member and a friend who said Kearria died during surgery.
Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said the shooting was a result of a fight over $180. Police are expected to release pictures of two wanted suspects: Johnathan David Hall, 31, and Tom Everett Jr., 50.
Kearria was an innocent bystander.

He said that the shooting appeared to be the result of a dispute-related crossfire, and that the Sheriff said a second child was injured. During a police briefing, Action News Jax learned that the child shot in the head is a 5-year-old girl, and that the second child was injured by debris and is a 4-year-old girl.
The children were sitting in the backseat of a car when the shooting happened, police say.
