Jacksonville mom seeking answers after son killed outside home in October

Patrick Wesley Jr.

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A Jacksonville mother doesn’t want her son’s murder that happened a month ago to become just another cold case.

Angela Wesley contacted Action News Jax Friday in hopes of getting someone to come forward with any information regarding her son’s death.

Action News Jax reported when the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1200 block of Brookwood Forest Boulevard, near Monument Road, just after 10 p.m. on Oct. 5 regarding a shooting.

Authorities found one person, identified by his mother as Patrick Wesley Jr., 19, dead and another shooting victim, believed to be in his early 20s, at the scene.

“I refuse to give up, especially being Patrick was just outside our home when he was gunned down,” his mother said in a statement to Action News Jax.

She said her son was a graduate of Sandalwood High School and was looking forward to joining the military.
