Jacksonville ranked No. 16 best place to live in the country by U.S. News & World Report

Jacksonville is in the Top 20 on U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of the “Best Places to Live in the U.S. in 2023-2024.″

The River City moved up eight places to No. 16 from its 2022 ranking of No. 24.

The magazine said Jacksonville “offers a range of culturally and aesthetically diverse neighborhoods surrounding downtown.”

Three cities in Florida ranked higher than Jacksonville on the list: Sarasota came in at No. 5, Naples at No. 6 and Melbourne at No. 15.

Jacksonville ranked higher than the following Florida cities: Tampa was No. 24, Pensacola at No. 28, Daytona Beach at No. 49, Orlando at No. 52, Tallahassee at No. 60, Port St. Lucie at No. 63, Ocala at No. 67, Fort Myers at No. 91, Lakeland at No. 105, and Miami at No. 138.

Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Packers, is ranked No. 1 overall on the list.
