JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to a silent alarm at the Speedway located at 7403 Lem Turner Road at 5 a.m. on Saturday.
When JSO arrived, they learned that a man and woman ambushed the clerk as he was opening. According to police, the clerk was forced inside and shot in the legs while the robbery took place.

The suspects ran off behind the business, police say.
The clerk was taken to UF Health and robbery detectives are investigating.
