JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was killed Tuesday in a crash involving a car and a semi-truck on Interstate 295.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 30-year-old Ashley Galan of Keystone Heights was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima on I-295 north near Duval Road around 1 p.m.

FHP said a semi-truck slowed down due to traffic congestion and Galan’s vehicle did not, causing the Altima to hit the rear of the semi-truck and become trapped underneath it.
Galan was killed in the crash, which is still being investigated by FHP.
Crews are also responding to a traffic accident on I295 N at the Duval Rd exit...a car is under the back end of a semi....E34 advises one person is trapped.... more crews are en route.
