JSO: 19-year-old missing since Friday, found dead on UNF Campus after motorcycle crash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a 19-year-old boy was found dead after a motorcycle crash in the woods on the University of North Florida Campus after he was reported missing two days earlier.

His family filed a missing person report with the sheriff’s office on Friday.

JSO said they pinged his cell phone at 4892 1st Coast Tech Pkwy and began searching the area.

They found the victim dead in the woods on Sunday. An investigation revealed that the 19-year-old had crashed into a tree after losing control of his motorcycle on First Coast Technological Parkway.

Police have notified the victim’s family.

The 19-year-old was not a student at UNF and this incident was unrelated to the university’s student body.

This is a developing story that will be updated once more information becomes available.
