Russell Colburn spoke with the room mate and a neighbor of Leah Baker, a woman who swung a knife at a JSO officer and cut them before being shot and killed by police.

ORIGINAL STORY:
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a police officer was injured during an officer-involved shooting on the 1300 block of Golfair Boulevard.
JSO said that Officer E. Meckling responded to a dispute between two people over medicine at 5:13 p.m. The suspect, Leah Baker, 29, swung a butcher knife and cut Meckling, according to JSO.

Two officers fired at Baker when they said she charged at them.
Baker died from her injuries.
