K9s United to host annual 9K for K9s

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — K9s United is hosting its sixth annual 9K for K9s this Saturday, April 17.

The event will take place at World Golf Village starting at 8 a.m.

Every year the event raises money to support canine crime fighters and ensure K-9 units across the United States have the proper animal care they need and the right training to serve their communities.

This year’s event will honor local fallen K-9 Ryker. Ryker died unexpectedly in 2020.

Participates of the run will receive a medal and a T-shirt featuring Ryker.

“In our sixth year, 9K for K9s is a fun and healthy way that families can come together to help provide vital resources K-9s need most and we are proud to honor fallen K-9 Ryker for his dedicated service at this year’s race,” said Debbie Johnson, founder and CEO of K9s United. “Whether participating in person or pounding the pavement virtually, we encourage runners and walkers of all abilities to join us for a full day of fun and fitness to support K-9 heroes who put their lives on the line for our communities every day.”

The cost of the event ranges from $20-$38. Anyone interested in registering for the event can click HERE.

Come join us on April 17th! 💙🐾
